The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is scheduled for November 28, 2007 from 7:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Call 212-632-3975 for up to date information.
The tree will be lit through APPROXIMATELY Jan 6, 2008. Hours are daily from 5:30am to 11:30pm.
Millions of New Yorkers and tourists come to see the tree while many get to ice skate on the rink below.Click here for rink times & prices.
The plaza heading towards the tree is occupied by the traditional horn-blowing angels.
The Christmas tradition began in 1933!
Let's see all of this lit up at night!

By 4:30 pm, the winter sun has set and visitors can truly appreciate the time and effort of stringing the 78,000 lights.
Your lighting job at home may not seem so tough after seeing this!
Everything is lit up beautifully and although it gets a little crowded throughout the plaza, be patient and take your time. The Christmas spirit can easily be lost if you let the jostling get to you.
You'll get quite a thrill skating here in the evening as the golden god Prometheus looks on just below the tree.
Surely, many visitors to Rockefeller Center will be taking in the famed Radio City Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall.
There's much more to see at Christmas in NYC!
